The American Dream
I have had this hub name "American" for quite some time but I could not motivate myself to choose a theme for this American Hub. The motivation finally came on November 3, 2009. Following is the short story of how I was motivated to write the American Hub.
My health is failing and it is now necessary to take a nap almost daily, for many this is normal, but it is not for me. Yesterday, as I awoke from my nap, a dream I had during my nap kept running through my mind, over and over, I could not shake it. For the life of me I could not understand why the dream ended as it had. If I could not understand the end, it was impossible to understand the meaning of the dream.
It finally came to me, and when it did I was deeply impacted by its' meaning, and the motivation came to finally write the American Hub.
The American Dream, I had:
There were four characters in this dream, a young lady about 25 years old, her two children, and a stout, rugged, tough man.
The dream began with the young lady walking down a road with her two children. As she walked on the burly man came along side her. Her attention was focused on the road ahead of her. As she walked on she continually looked over at her children.
The man began to scold this young lady as she trudged forward, "You foolish lady, you will never make it!" But she stayed focused and continued on. The further she walked, the harder the path became to walk. After some time, and many negative remarks from the man, she was then seen with her children crawling on the ground through mud, busted glass, sharp steel etc.
After several miles of this the young lady and her children were almost physically destroyed and the man continued to badger her and her children. This man was not affected by the journey and remained strong.
The scene then moved to a location high off the ground, she had taken her children up high in an effort to make the journey somewhat easier, but she became very weak and could hardly continue any further.
When I awoke from this dream it was to the fact that she had died in her pilgrimage, and just as the man had said, she did not make it to her destination.
I was very troubled by the way this dream had ended, the ending did not appear to fit, as I pondered I thought that this dream should have ended with the young lady reaching her destination and goal.
It then hit me that this young lady represented the heart of those who founded our great Nation. Not only were our founders willing to die for the cause of freedom, many of them did die. And my friends, this is what we face in America today, will we pay the price to stop our leaders from destroying the freedoms that make this Nation America?
Another point I noticed in this dream was the fact that this young lady was not only pursuing freedom for herself, she was concerned about her children and the freedom of the next generation.
And one last thing, the point is not that she died, the point is that she died trying! She did not set on her rear and talk about it, she took action.
I must be bold and honest with my readers, if you are one of those who are backing the socialism which the republicans and democrats are pushing down our throats in America, you are my enemy! And it is sad but true, many today who say that they are an American, are liars. The word American is meaningless if it is not backed by the same substance that our founding fathers had.
Well, I just wanted to share my dream, and I pray many of you will awaken from your sleep and remember what it meant to be a true American. Feel free to bash me, to trash me, or join me in my disgust.

What Is An American?
An American is not what we see today in most of America. I will explain what an American is, and how one determines what an American is. The issue before us is that the meaning of what an American is, has changed from the original meaning. What it meant to be an American in 1776, is far different from what it means to most in America in 2009.
This problem is identical to the meaning of a Christian in 2009. There are multitudes who say that they are a Christian, but when you discover what the meaning of Christian is, you quickly learn that there are few true Christians in 2009. The meaning of Christian to most today, has a far different meaning in 2009 than it had in 100 A.D.
Jesus said; Matt. 7:21-27 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Americans, Fight Back
I just wanted to alert those who visit this American Hub, the biggest search engine has removed this hub from their index. This is not the first time I have had this happen, it seems that someone at the top does not like sites that promote the Constitution and The Bill of Rights. My reply to them is if they do not want to back and support America, get out!
In the meantime you can all help by leaving links to this hub at all the social media websites and any site on the web that supports real Americans.
If my opinions appear to be radical to you, perhaps it is because you have lost sight of what it means to be an American.
It should concern every American when Muslim hate groups are allowed to preach hate and death to Americans on the streets of New York, yet when someone who loves America speaks, they are silenced by the corporate powers in America. If this does not raise warning flags to you, you may already be dead and just don't know it yet!

Things are really a mess and I have been writing about this for years. I also personally get involved in getting out and talking to people. I do see a huge problem with simply voting scoundrels in and out of office, that simply means that the scoundrels are always in office, just different ones. No, I believe this has only one single answer and that is for the people of this Nation to stand up and march on our Government and demand they remove themselves or be removed. Our Government is becoming nothing more than the tyrants our founders defeated. With all the unemployed it is as good a time as any for the masses to form and march on every Government institution and proclaim liberty is to be restored, the Constitution is to be upheld and the Bill of Rights enforced.
I was just thinking of quoting Patrick Henry where he made the statement "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death", this made me stop and go read the complete discourse. I was shocked when I had read it; it was a speech not unlike the dream I had. In the speech Mr. Henry said, " They tell us, sir, that we are weak -- unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance, by lying supinely on our backs, and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
I call every American to action, we are still the people, we are a force to be dealt with when we are one. America open your eyes and see the pending civil war that the tyrants would love to see! Don't you see that the tyrants would rather have you and me fighting and weakening the people, rather than have us stand against the true enemy of freedom, our own leaders.

This subject means so much to me, if we do not do something in this generation to turn it around, I can only be thankful that I will not be around in the next generation. If this continues to go unchecked the next generation will be executed for even mentioning the word freedom.

Robert: I am one of the American's who watched the Moslem Terrorist's on CNN on the streets of New York. This was shown the day after the Moslem murderer killed and severely wounded our men and women at the army base in Texas.There is no doubt in my mind that CNN knew what they were doing to the American public by showing this the very next day and due to that I refuse to discuss their name any further. These Moslem terrorist's were shown praising the murdering and maiming of our men and women in uniform. My opinion is they should have been arrested and charged immediately.What would hve happened if that were you and I, white -christians praising the death of moslems! I think you and I both know... America better wake up and realize that our promises of the American Dream and citizenship have brought promises far more deadly than our fore fathers could have ever imagined. We are a generous country and that generosity has and will continue to be taken advantage of by murderers of ALA!

This is speaking of the Home Land, not in other Nations. Come on Congress, where are you yellow bellied cowards now?

I think the left has succeeded in defining the parameters for protest...all conservative protesters are irrelevant and uninformed rabble, whereas progressives are shown as erudite, forward-looking, protectors of the common man...the media hardly acknowledged the tens of thousands that marched on Washington last month on Sept 12...yet when a couple of dozen Muslim fanatics show up to praise the actions of an American Muslim terrorist it gets nationwide coverage 24/7...
There is much to be concerned about, and I'm afraid the time is coming when a more active response may be required to get congress's attention...Larry
Hello Larry, so good to hear from you too. As far as my health goes, it seems to worsen by the day. It always amazes me at how much we can endure physically as humans. Among other things, I must give my earthly Father credit, he raised me in such a way as to be able to stand in the face of "Hard" and strike back. I just try to look at my health issues as nothing but stepping stones along this upward path, each stone I step upon takes me just a little bit higher.
I believe that the path we are on at the moment in America is leading to a showdown between this corrupt Government and the people of this once great Nation.
I believe that the now reigning socialist party in America is trying to destroy the middle class, and I think that in the end we are going to totally upset their apple cart.
No Nation, not even our own, can wake the giant (people) without paying the price! If this is not an act of war on the people by its' Government, I would like to know what else to call it!
When our Government forces itself on the States, when our Government passes laws and forces them on the States, when our Government destroys and takes over public businesses, when our Government purposely spends trillions of dollars for the purpose of destroying the dollar, when our Government sets at the table of our sworn enemies, when our Government refuses to remove illegal occupants from our country, when our Government allows terrorists to roam freely in our streets, when our Government can do all manner of evil against its' citizens! It is time for the people to stand up as 1 and remove them all from power.
Larry, to me, this Congress has shown their true colors to America now. As I mentioned about the Patriot Act, Congress spoke up about the discrimination against Muslims right after the attack on the USA. They said they would condemn any discrimination not only against Muslims, but any American. Well, now that the discrimination is coming from the Muslim Terrorists in New York, we find that the Congress must have made a mistake in what they said in the Patriot Act. They probably meant to leave out the words "any American." It is so sad that the Congress can stand up for Muslims in America, but as far as the rest of us, I guess their attitude is "Go To Hell"

America has been changing for over 200 years, but I can only relate to the changes taking place in my generation. But the changes are more frequent and this once great land is in a downward spiral, almost at the point of no return.
Look back to the future, we've had tons of history that shows us all too clearly where we are headed.
What we need to do is take on the Patriotic Fever that defined the minute men, the "indians" at the Boston Tea Party, those who fought and died in the European and Pacific theaters in World War II.
I know one thing for sure, this IS NOT the America I joined the Marine Corps for, not in 1776 or 1940, but in 1960, and that is not so very long ago.
In this country now, if your an elected big brother senator or representative, you only have to serve ONE term for a lifetime of pork barrell quirks and millions of dollars in income. Me, I worked for 46 years, was forced into early retirement at 62 because of health and insurance issues and now try to survive on less than $1,000 a month. I was a truck driver, but of course, brain anuerysms are not a disability. Let's start the ball rolling by making "them" draw social security like everyone else, watch "them" squirm, then watch the changes start.
This was once a strong and united country, it is quickly becoming the United Socialist States of America. Let's stop dancing around the truth, call an ace an ace, and socialism exactly that.
Lets bring God back into our schools and our society, lets bring Patriotism back into the pledge of alligence and the pride we once had in this land. And the author is right, get your heart in America or get your butt out. This is a Christian, English speaking nation. Used to be you had to speak and read English BEFORE you could become a citizen. Raymond, thank you for the comment, I'm with you Raymond. We may as well give our names and addresses, they have them any way! You have no idea how many times I have contacted the department of defense and gave them the passwords to everything on my computer in hopes they would stop screwing up my computer by their attempts to get in. I have hundreds of DOD attempts a day blocked by my firewall. I have nothing to hide, but our Government sure does. There is no way they would just come right out and say what they are attempting to turn this nation into, cowards and traitors!

So much has taken place since I published this Hub, we are now seeing that Barack Obama is indeed a Dictator who has set out on a path to destroy America through the use of Socialist policies.
This man has literally declared war on "We The People," and still the majority of those who claim to be an American set silent. Many will challenge me and say that there are many who are speaking out, such groups as "The Tea Party" and others! But words are not going to change the corruption that now controls our Nation.
Mark my words; if the States do not pull out of the Union soon, this will eventually turn into Obamas' dream of a Civil War.
The politicians and leaders in America have become the very same thing that our Founding Fathers left England because of. Do we think that our freedom is to restored by the use of words? This is a war between Liberty and Dictatorship, I challenge all to look at history and see how many times words were successful in defeating a Dictator!
I feel sorry for those who say, "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death," but refuse to pay the ultimate price to see to it that Liberty reigns! Those famous words were spoken by Patrick Henry but when you read the complete discourse that included those words you find that he was scolding other Americans for their failure to take immediate action to insure the victory of Liberty.
So what am I suggesting, a war against the Government? There need not be a war if the Federal Government will simply restore our Liberty. If a war results it will not be because the good people of America started it, it will be because the Federal Government refused to do right and submit to the Constitution and support The Bill of Rights.
What I say to all the "Talking Heads" out there, such as Glen Beck, The Tea Party, and others, is this; Talking only works if both parties in the fight play by the same rules as given to us in The Constitution and The Bill of Rights. However, when one side chooses to play by a different set of rules called Socialism, there is no longer a place for discussion.

Robert, I applaud you for speaking up on this issue! You have joined others in this stance. I have written about the same subject on my hubs and blog. Our government is self-serving and corrupt. Those who line their pockets are the only voices they hear. The career politicians need to be moved out of office…They have become arrogant and complacent. I also agree with your assessment of the radical religious right.
Here is my opinion, vote all the incumbents out in 2010 and 2012. If the newly elected fail to do, their jobs then we vote them out. Keep this up and eventually, if they are smart, we will see the needed changes come to fruition.
There is a bill to repeal the 22nd amendment, which sets term limits on the president. It has been introduced several times and continues to be reintroduced. Heaven help us if it is ever approved! That effort alone tells you that both republicans and democrats are all about control.
